This tour offers the wonderful possibility to know the Vatican City, site where the Apostle Peter was martyred and buried , centre of worship for the Catholics of the whole world, sovereing state since February 1929.

The visit will begin with the museum that houses one of the most important art collections in the world, we will see palaces and coutyards originally built as papal residences, galleries with Greek and Roman works, we will admire precious tapestries and frescoes to get to the famous Raphael's rooms, private apartments of the humanist pope Julius II, decorated by the great master from Urbino and than to the Sistine Chapel where we will be ravished by the marvellous paintings by Michelangelo and other Renaissance artists.

The tour then follows to St. Peter's basilica: the largest Christian temple in the world, erected during 120 years by the greatest Roman Renaissance and Baroque architects. We will be touched by the sweetness of Michelangelo's original Pietà, astoneshed by the immensity of the dome and the magnificence of the bronze canopy. The tour will end with the vast embrace of St. Peter's square and the perfect symmetry of its columns.
